A primary care doctor in Boise with time to listen.
Independent primary care in downtown Boise. One physician, longer visits, and someone reachable between them.
Three things you'll notice right away.
Minutes reserved for a first visit
Plenty of time to go through your history, your medications, and your questions.
Physician, every visit
You see Dr. Hayton every time — the same physician, who knows your history and remembers the last conversation.
Your care, followed between visits
We make the referrals, read the specialist notes that come back, and follow up on results — so you're not the one keeping track of your own care.
A good fit if any of this sounds familiar.
- You want a regular doctor for check-ups, screening, and one or two things like blood pressure or cholesterol.
- You're managing several conditions at once and nobody is connecting them.
- You want a doctor who knows you, and enough time to actually talk.
- Your previous doctor retired, left the area, or stopped accepting Medicare.
- You're helping a parent or someone you love find better care.
- You're new to Boise and looking to establish care.
We take insurance. There's no membership fee.

Dr. Derek Hayton, DO
Dr. Hayton came to Idaho for residency in 2011 and has practiced here since 2014 — in hospitals, large primary care groups, community clinics, and the VA. Across all of it, one thing became clear: good medicine takes time, and it takes one physician who knows the whole picture.
He built this practice around that. One physician, enough time, and a structure that follows a case over years rather than moving people through a schedule.
